I'm discovering more and more each day why our last alliance leader burned out. My fiancee and I are very fortunate that we both play and run the alliance together. It's much easier to run something so complicated when you can split the duties. I'm more of a social person, so I do the "secretarial" work of the alliance including the website, arranging the events, and making sure our members are getting what they want. He does the "working" portion of the alliance which is going on outings and doing the events scheduled with the members of the alliance. It's working out well, so far and we have lots of members that leave (for whatever reason) then ultimately return to our alliance/guild. We're very happy with how it's turning out. =]
Hey Hex- I'm a recent ally from [SOTG]. I couldn't send Asgard (or you) a response to his message because it says you both have private messaging disabled. Anyway just wanted to answer his question that no, I'm not the guild leader. However after reading this post it seems basically Our guild is run the same way; I'm the girlfriend, webmistress, socializer, etc. The guild leader's gamerDNA tag is dancers-avatar if you need him.
